Show Info
Sandon Fete was established in 1947 by the Royal British Legion; just shortly after the second world war. As the years past the British Legion decided that it was unable to continue with the fete, due to a reduction in legion members. The remaining organisers felt the demise of the popular event would be a shame, and a significant loss to the village and surrounding area. It was decided to continue the event as an independent fund raiser. In 1998 the Sandon Fete & Transport Show was formed. This was set to continue the popular village event which was now attracting visitors from all over the neighbouring four counties. In the new form the event could now support local and national causes, but also more than one good cause in any one annual event. If you are interested in more of the history of Sandon Fete, take a look at our photo gallery of past and present images.
All of the Sandon Fete and Transport show all our members are volunteers. We all give our time freely to support local charities and traditional village life. We do this by planning an event which attracts people of all ages, aiming to offer something which will be of interest to everyone at our rural show. Set in the rural heart of Staffordshire with good road links from the, A51 Rugeley to Stone road, and the B5066 Sandon to Stafford road.
The M6 junction 14 is just 15 minutes away.
